the sex of the baby (sort or rant lol)
posted 11th Jan
anyone else due around April 9th and still isn't sure what they are having? my doctor does an ultrasound at every appointment and everytime he looks he just cannot tell what the babys sex is. He always looks and either says "well right there shows it might be a boy" or "well I can't really see boy parts so it might be a girl".
He set me up with an appointment at the hospital with an ultrasound tech and she said its a boy but could only see the "scrotum" (I quotated that because I thought it was the umbilical cord since its wrapped down there around its genitals)
I just had another doctor appointment and he looked again and still couldn't tell! This baby will not cooperate lol. It is getting frustrating not knowing. I have a feeling I won't know till he/she is out and that irritates me because I like being prepared.

We didn't know for sure until my youngest got here cause the cord was in the way the WHOLE time.
We figured it was a girl though, bought everything, and kept all receipts in case we had to take everything back if she was a boy.

I was also thinking of buying a few girl outfits and a few boy ones just to be safe. I think I just keep telling myself "I'll know at the next appointment" then I end up not finding out. Now I'm just hoping that when the babys head starts heading down we will be able to tell.

I chose not to know what i was having, but the tech told me that she wouldn't have been able to tell me even if i wanted to know because carlisle wouldn't cooperate. I'm looking forward to keeping every pregnancy a secret, well if i have any more. It was sooooo exciting! But i bought a bunch of boy clothes Brier i had him. From the first moment i felt a kick i"knew"it was a boy. Don't ask me how, but i did. And i cried with excitement when it was confirmed

That's so cool. I also thought of doing that too since with both my boys I found out at 14 wks but I think it might drive me nuts not being prepared and not knowing like it already has

I found out the sex of my first two, but left the third a surprise. I also like being prepared, but to be honest, keeping it a surprise was the best thing ever. It just made it that extra bit special. I also had SO check the sex when he was born, so he could be the one to tell me.

I had an emergency c-section and my grandmother was the one who came back with me, and she was the one who told me. It was awesome, she just looked at me with tears in her eyes and told me i got my boy. Best feeling ever.
