if you are lactose intolerant, did you give milk or soy at 1
posted 11th Jan
I am lactose intolerant and am wary of giving my son cow's milk for that reason.
Did any breastfeeding (or formula feeding) moms out there introduce soy when their baby turned one? Or did you try cows milk.... or something else?
TIA!

I still try cow's milk at a year. One of my girls was on soy milk until 18 months but she outgrew her issue with dairy.

As long as your breastfeeding still you don't have to introduce any kind of milk.
But, if I did I would go with soy.

I would go with rice or almond milk personally. But that's because I hate soy milk.
Almond is yummy!

I work full time though, and I am able to pump less and less everyday. I don't know if I should send him with water (to daycare) or try cows milk (he still nurses in the evening/weekends)

I gave both of my boys cows milk and plan to do the same with my daughter. I didn't become lactose intolerant until after I had my oldest so chances are if they become lactose intolerant it will be later in life like myself and a few others in my family who are as well.
