2 different things

Yesterday my son had his 6 month shots and also his first tooth broke through. I feel like such a smurffy mom. We went to bed around 11 last night and he kept waking up but I just put a boob in his mouth to get him to go back to sleep. Well a few times he felt hot but I just took the blanket off of him. Well finally at 5am I got up to get the thermometer and checked his temp and it was 103.6. Now I had been giving him motrin because his dr said it lasts longer and seems to work better. It didn’t do a damn thing for him so I just did tylenol and a kinda warm kinda cold bath. His temp went down thank god but I just feel like crap that I didn’t get up sooner and check it. Second part......... Since his little tooth came through should I start brushing it and do I use any toothpaste or anything?

Yes you should be brushing even before the tooth just his gums. You can get a finger brush in the baby asile and it usually comes with baby toothpaste or you can just use water. Do not use fluoride toothpaste

Eh not the end of the world. Just head over to target/walmart or whatever your store preference is and in the baby asile usually with all the creams and washes there will be a little finger brush. Just be careful my daughter loves to bite. (owie)

Oh brush brush brush. Im a dental assistant and my very last patient today was a 4 yr old girl who needed 4 fillings in her front 4 teeth and had a baby tooth that was so decayed it was broken at the gumline and we had to extract the rest....  baby teeth are VERY important
