Reading words and writing small sentences.

In school, they are learning about different items of clothing, sewing, etc. Taking care of clothes (laundering and folding). They are also working on identifying letters and numbers. Next month, they will be learning phonics and science. I get a calendar sent home from Sera's preschool teacher so it lets me know what they are working on so I can reenforce it at home.
(this is special education preschool, mind you)

She just turned 4 in November, and I remember just teaching her older brother at that age how to write letters. lol.

That's not standard for 4.

4's should be leaning letters colors numbers patterns

I don't know lol is it? My son will be 5 in June and that's where he's been at for the last few months. He's been able to write out the alphabet and numbers and random words for almost a year now so we've been taking.it up a notch because he gets bored easily

Writing
How to deal with money
And cooking stuff

At school my 4 year old works on cutting, letter recognition and sounds, numbers, grouping thing with common traits, handwriting, the typical stuff

Division and multiplication....lol I know sounds weir for four, but she has been reading and writting since 3 yrs old. And already knows how to add and subtract. lol
And we are working on punctuation and science. I have a hard time cause I suck in those areas. But we do it for fun, since she is all day kindergarten mon-fri.
