What do you consider ttc?

posted 11th Jan
What do you ladies consider ttc? Like tracking, bding every other night all month long all that stuff, or just not using protection? DH and I have been trying to get pregnant since march, but there are some months we only get to bd like once or twice because he works nights and was picking up so much over time, so I don't know if I should be worried yet or not.

Not using protection, trying for a child, no matter how much you keep track.

Read Taking Charge of Your Fertility before you get worried. Super informative. Good luck with everything!

Yup. lol

I am currently TTC, and that means DH is ejaculating in me and we're hoping for another baby. Simple understanding.

IMO, it means you aren't obsessing or keeping track of your cycles or trying to BD near your ovulation... but just having sex when you feel like it and if a baby happens, fine.

I believe that is when you don't care either way. You would like another child, but you won't get upset either way...whatever happens, happens. No protection.

so you still technically want a baby and are ttc , you just arn't into the charting, temping, and all that?

IMO, you are TTC if you aren't trying to prevent pregnancy...

Not really.

You could have another LO, but you don't necessarily want it so bad you are peeing on sticks and obsessing about have one.

It's just, whatever happens is all good.

! This. Personally, we liked the less stressful method of not trying but not protecting. We didnt chart or test for ovulation. I kept track of my menses on am app and we BDed when we felt like it. I took prenatals the second month of ttc and ended up pregnant at the end of that month.

Eh. I think TTC is trying to have sex near (when you think you're going to) ovulate, NTNP is more just wingin' it whenever you feel like having sex.

Not preventing definitely helps your chances of getting knocked up, but I think TTC means you actually WANT a baby. SO and I never prevented because two doctors told me I couldn't have babies - in retrospect, I guess I was naive enough to believe them, but I didn't have anyone to tell me otherwise so medical advice seemed sound. I sooooo did not want a baby though, ever. I was horribly upset when I found out - we both were.
