lol its what everyone says, it's kinda a joke between all they branches, it happens, I do have respect for all that serve, I love my way of life as an officer's wife, I have so much pride for what my husband does and does any other military spouse out there. It's not an easy job that they do, they deserve more credit than they get sometimes!

Marines say "Oohrah"... Army is "Hooah"...

*Edited to say: Not that it really matters I guess in the context of this thread, but... LOL

Personally, I think they ALL do! It;s hard to come across a good recruiter! My husband had a fantastic one, she was a female too! But she went over and beyond for us and made sure we were content before DH signed anything!

That's why it annoyed me so much.
My cousin was in the Marines
My brother was in the Army
I learned the difference quick from them. I have to giggle though when Hollywood screws it up

My hubby had an awesome recruiter, too. He knew I was pregnant before hub left for basic (and whether it was to save paperwork for him not having to do a dependency waiver or whatever idc) he played dumb. He didn't try to daunt enlistment bonuses or anything. He told us the truth and we listened.

Lol...I know. It's kinda sad the rivalries between the branches...but it happens. I am just happy my hubby doesn't have to be one of those who lives up to the "Chair Force" standard.

I absolutely loved my recruiter. He and I used to just hang out in the office and chat and I would help him with paperwork. This was before I even signed anything. He was really honest with me about how they have to reach certain limits and whatnot, and he even showed me valid proof he had already reached his limit. I was lucky to get him too because being the top dog, he didn't pick up many recruits himself. I saw the recruits he picked up and they were just amazing people. He had an amazing eye for potential recruits and I was really sad when I couldn't ship out because of my parents having me falsely arrested   I felt like I gave my recruiter a bad name after that. We stayed close though and still do to this day.

If you're considering the military the Air Force is the best branch Enlistments are 4 years or more if thats what u want to do. The Air Force has the shortest basic training and are treated the best out of all the other branches

shortest bt? hmmm
im mainly worried about the enlistment time (min.) I know id be able to do basic training but i dont want to be in the military ( whichever branch) for a long period of time. I want to serve a short time so i can get some money together, some benefits, and skill training.
....also it will preoccupy me if my husband has to go away....( 4 those who know my situation) I think it would be preductive and make time past more quickly, but i dont want to be in it for such a time that my baby wont know who either of his parents are

Well you can sign up for four years that was my plan..they pay for school and everything trust me i'm a military brat they can't make u stay longer than u want to i had a great recruiter and she let me kno everything.. u could also bring your son with u and that would be great benefits for him also..Just do watever you feel is right don't let others opions stir u in the wrong direction..Just watever you do know that you wont have any regrets in the end
