Losing it all.

Whoever said life gets easier is a freaking liar!! I'm so stressed right now. I just don't know what to do. DH got screwed around at work with his holiday pay. So now we are behind on all of our bills. Next week will be his first full check and he will get about $500. Our bills are right at $1100! There's no way we can pay it. So our phones will be cut off, our insurance will be cut off and we will lose all our stuff in storage. But we still don't have enough for rent and power. So we will either lose power or get evicted. Neither of which we can lose. Ughhh. I just want to sit here and cry.

try calling everywhere and working out a payment plan? I'm sorry   Good luck!

You should be able to set up payment arrangements with your power company. Sorry things are so tough right now. I hope they start to look up soon.

Can you go on a payment plan for any of the bills? Usually they will work with you if you give them notice.

can you call your power company and postpone a payment? Also Im in Missouri, but in my bill every month they send a list of resources that can help you pay your bill if your in a crunch. I think they base it off your income and expenses maybe? Could you try that? Good luck dear

We are already on a payment plan for power. So we can't do anything different with that. We worked it out with a landlord to pay rent but she keeps adding late fees. So that's not helping. The insurance and storage refuse to set up anything. And I have no clue about the phones. We were doing really good and had everything worked out. Until they screwed him at work.

In Washington if you have children under 18 in the house they can't shut off your power during winter months and you have until spring to catch up on your bills. Is there any way to talk to the different companies and make partial till maybe your taxes come? That's a smurffy situation, there's gotta be a way to work it out..

That's what I was always told here. If you have children or elderly living in the house they can't shut it off. But they will and don't care. I called crying and they basically said too bad. We're trying to work out how to just pay what we can but no where is helping. I just want to cry and sleep.

What about talking with your landlords and asking them if you can give them some rent money now, and just letting them know you will be able to pay the remaining amount on such and such day ?

We did that. We payed some today and told her we are working on the rest. She said its fine but she's adding $10 a day late fees. So we're still getting behind. But we can deal with that until taxes. It's just the fact we owe $350 for power next week alone. So we won't be able to pay much more on rent an shell get mad.
