If you don't flush your tampons

How do you dispose of them? We recently moved to a house with a septic system and I am seriously grossed out by not being able to flush them. What is the non-grossest way of disposing of them if you can't flush?

get one of those trash cans with the metal spring loaded push flap that you can put stuff in but it snaps back shut
or one of the ones thats foot operated

wrap it up in tissue paper and toss it in.. theres really no other way if you dont want to put it in a plastic bag and take it outside EVERY TIME you change it.

I never flush mine.... I use some toilet paper a pull it out then wrap it in some more toilet paper and put it in the bathroom trash can with a bag in it and then take out that bag every day to the dumpster outside.

Wrap them in toilet paper and put them in the trash? Idk.

I don't use tampons but pads. I always wrap them in toilet paper before putting them in the trash.

I have a trash can throw them in there then throw the bag away.

Just wrap them in toilet paper and put them in the garbage. Maybe get. A new garbage for your bathroom, one with the flippy lids. Or put the garbage in the under the sink cabinet?

I have a roll of the arm and hammer colored bags from the baby aisle in the door next to the toilet. I don't use tampons, but I have a little sign on the lid of the toilet that can't be missed for company stating to not flush tampons and the bags are in the drawer so please use those.

Yeah I will need to get one of those.

ive never heard of people flushing them... i wrap it in toilet paper and dump the trash more often a def empty it before someone comes over..

I've never ever flushed a tampon.... I wrap it up in tp and throw it in the trash.

Use a diva cup! I never have "evidence" of my period in my bathroom, the smell of blood grosses me out and I have a bionic nose.

How well does it work and is it easy to get used to?

I get that feeling when I have to wrap myself around my heating pad the first day my period starts. It never used to be this bad for me before LO.
