SSI forgot about us?

I feel because there's no communication that nothing is being done. Would it be weird if I called for an update? Its been only 1 month but I swear she said that my SO needs to sign something so they can look in his bank account...well I'm pretty sure that's what was said? Also he wasn't doing birth to three at that time and now I feel like they should be added to his list of therapists. AND I'm pregnant now, I don't know if that makes a difference but so much has changed since the phone interview.

ssi will send a letter requesting any info they need.....it took 7mo to get it for my son and over a year for my daughter (both have autism spectrum disorders)

Oh wow that long. Well just keep waiting then.

most cases take a minimum of 6mo to get approved.....they shouldve told u that when u applied.

They said 3-6 months, but because I remember her saying something was going to get sent out for my SO bank account I.just figured they'd send it by now. So that makes me think it was forgotten.

it took us like a week. but his is due to a congenital heart defect....

My son has 18q deletion syndrome and moderate hearing loss. I thought it'd be quicker. Well just wait and see.

If they forgot to send something or you haven't received paperwork I would call to double check. It shouldn't have taken more than a week to get the signature paperwork. Something simple as getting lost in the mail could have happened. Also, you can always stop by the local office instead of waiting on the phone for ages.
