Can a low lying baby cause this?

So I went in for a growth scan yesterday and my baby is VERY low. She has lodged herself down in my cervix/pelvis (somewhere down there!) She's so far down that the u/s tech had to do a vaginal ultrasound in order to measure baby's head and get a look at the cervix. I'm only 32 weeks.

So my question is can my baby being so low already cause dialation and/or premature labor. I had a couple other issues at my appointment so asking my doctor about it slipped my mind. I'm going back monday to redo the scans and will talk to him more about it then. I was just hoping you ladies might know the answer or have experienced the same thing and let me know what happened. Thanks!

I carried extremely low and had to have a vaginal ultrasound around 30 weeks as well. I did go into pre-term labor at 34 weeks, but they stopped the labor and he held on until 38 weeks. I would just take it easy as much as you can.

Thats great that they stopped your labor. Once it was stopped were you able to go home? At 38 weeks did your baby come on its own?

I don't think the two have anything to do with each other. More likely coincidences. My first baby was low lying and it was just uncomfortable. I was induced.

I went home and was on bed rest until I hit 36 weeks, they let me do minimal things (nothing crazy) after that and said they'd take him the next time he tried to come. He came on his own at 38 weeks.

My doctor told me to take it easy over the weekend and we would evaluate options after my u/s on monday. i guess I just kind of wonder with the baby's head pushing on the cervix so much if it would make it thin out or dialate...

I dilated so easily since he was so low. Made for a quick labor. Just don't do any jumping jacks or squats anytime soon. (:

i'd prolly kill over if i tried either of those lol. my MIL seems convinced the baby is just gona fall out, i tried to explain that thats not how it works...at all haha

Wishful thinking! Although my friends joke with me saying my son kinda did just fall out. LOL.

my last pregnancy my son came out 4 hours after they broke my water...i couldnt believe it went so fast after my first took 13 hours!
