You can get like a clear storage bin, or even just Tupperware to store it all in & then pour it into a large baking dish or something, but you can do all different kinds of stuff.

Fill it with beans, and then put in dinosaurs or trucks. Mix corn starch and shaving gel to make "fluffy stuff" and let him dig in (it is soft, but moldable, we made snowmen!), or flour and baby oil....there are so many different kinds!

Two boxes of corn starch and a can of cheap shaving cream! Mix it all together, and then play! That's one of the easiest, and fastest ones to throw together. It was really easy to vacuum up, too. So cleanup was easy.
