I think of a horse when I hear it lol. I read a book where someone had a horse named Persephone.

Besides this, up untill about 2 months ago I thought it was pronounced Per-uh-phone - which many people think it's pronounced. I wouldnt want a name knowing someone will prob mispronounce it.

There are a lot of names that can get mispronounced easily and are still good names. My baby's name is Isla and it's been mispronounced a few times but I still love it and wouldn't change it.

Is-la. They don't think the s is silent. I did a poll before I had her to see how many people would pronounce it right, most people did. I figure I loved the name enough to go ahead and name her that haha. And thanks
