wheezing question.

my son has been coughing and wheezing for about 4-5 days now. he went to the doctor on Tuesday and they put him on antibiotics for 3 days. he finished them yesterday. he was also running a fever which is why he went to the doctor. Well he was still running a fever at like 2:30 this morning, but I gave him ibuprofen then and he hasn't had . fever since. my question is should I take him in again if he's still wheezing when he breathes. he isn't coughing as much as he had been either. it just sounds horrible when he breathes.

If its really wheezing yes he needs to go in.

I would take him in again. Wheezing would freak me out thinking asthma, bronchitis, whopping cough or something bad (i'm a worry wart though, not trying to scare you)

I called up there to talk to a nurse and I had to leave a message. I don't know if it wheezing or crackling or rattling. The doctor did say he was a little concerned about the rattling in his chest when he went in...
