how to get 14 month old to STTN

any non CIO options? i know hes not hungry all the time, because usually if i pick him up and lay him on my chest he goes back to sleep, but its not practical for me to sleep like that.

we do co-sleep, but hes not happy just laying next to me sometimes.

he is a BIG mamas boy. i cant leave the room without him crying if i am home. i do work, so he is with his nana on those days, but its the same for her.

CIO is NOT a option for medical reasons as well as personal beliefs. he still wakes up every. 1-2 hours all night. mama is exhausted lol

I would suggest to start transitioning him to his own room and bed.

he wont sleep in his own bed, he wont even sleep without touching me at all times, even during the day. i think he has anxiety issues

Co-sleeping isn't the problem, it's just who he is. We co-sleep too. Our first never slept through the night until 2 1/2 years old and was waking up 2-3 times around 14 months old as well. Our now five month old only wakes up 2-3 times at night to eat. Our first woke up way more then that at five months old. We don't really believe you can force a baby to sleep through the night, it's just something that happens on it's own.

he wakes up crying hysterically tho, theres no like whimpering first, its like one second sleeping, one second in a meltdown. its really heartbreaking :/

thats true. i didnt think of that since he is so young, but his oldest sister gets those as well and i read they have genetic tendancies.
