A little suppressed

I honestly wouldnt medicate at all. I am ADHD and so is my 10 yr old. I and she never medicated (tried with her once) we decided to take a natural approach and I find it more helpful them medication. They become dependant on it and there for will think they need it, when they dont.

You can even do the placebo (water pills) and most kids think its helping them when its actually themselves being more aware of their behavior.

But its normal to eat more or less, sleep more or less etc....when first taking any ADHD medication. It needs to be taken at least 1 month before you will see any difference, and sleeping or eating going back to normal.

Well when youve tried everything and your kid is still having out bursts at school and unable to concentrate you do what you have to do to help them. Vyvanse was the best decision for my son. Also I dont give it to him every day. Only on school days.


Maybe your daughter would care more about her appearance if she had some help controlling her ADHD

My dd hasnt had any outburst at school since we started natural over medication etc.....Her ADHD is under controle and has been for the last 4-5 yrs, thank you very much.

Oh no there is no right or wrong, I wasnt trying to imply that at all. I was saying what worked for us thats all. Since the medication has so many side effects and will screw with eating and sleeping etc....

I have ADD, myself-and no "natural" medication has ever worked for me. I take Concerta and it has absolutely been a fabulous thing for me. I don't know that kids can take it---

The way you said it made you sound like a judgmental bitch. My son has only been on Vyvanse a month and I saw a change the first few days. Yes there are some medicines that take longer to fully be effective, but not all. Ive done my research and talked to 3 different doctors before making this decision. Next time you want to say what works for you, dont give an opinion on something you clearly dont know smurf about

I sounded judgmental cause I gave a two sided opinon on how it went using meds and how it worked better not using meds and doing it in a natural way???? ok then.

Patti, Jen is eating just fine  
I had to watch her pretty close for a couple days, but she's eating normal, now. Wolfed down almost a whole box of Mac and cheese last night

That sounds just like Dylan. He can eat a box by himself easily. Im glad shes eating normal though. That was a concern of mine, but thankfully no issues for us either.
