postpartum lower back pain! helppp!

posted 11th Jan
So about 3 and a half weeks after giving birth to my son I began to have some pain in my lower back which I thought was odd considering all my cramping had already stopped but i figured it probably had something to do with recovering from labor but here i am almost 6 weeks later and the pain has gotten progessively worse and it seems like the pain is now hurting in a larger area than before. Would anybody know why this is happening? Plz the pain os very bad now. Also i had an epidural and im scared its got something to do with that. Please anyone help!

I've had a lot of back pain from my epidural 4 years ago. Some days it's worse. Since you didn't give birth that long ago it could be your bones and joints settling back into place from pregnancy.

If you haven't been to your pp checkup yet, I would mention it. But just watch for things like migraines and a fever. I think you don't have much to worry about..

Yep that is the one thing I despise about the epidural. I've had 2. My first was 4 1/2 years ago and I was still having pain from that. I'm 3 months pp with my second and most nights I can't sleep because the back pain is so bad. Doesn't helped they smurfed up my epidural and had to redo it.

This!!! They messed mine up too and had to do a second in a different place so my back pain goes from right at the bottom of my back to between my shoulder blades... Yay

i had 2 kids within 13 months and a total of 4 epidurals. 3 with my first son (they messed up twice), and one with my 2 month old. i have no back pain. maybe you should talk to your doctor? it shouldnt be getting progressively worse..
