Ok I cut my own hair today...yea yea I know, but I'm poor and desperate. The very front layers ended up being too short and I didn't like them that much so I clipped them like you clip bangs. I thought it looked decent...acceptable. DH, who is always kind and honest, told me it reminded him of a mullet and that it didn't match me, didn't work for me.

So basically now I'm a little upset thinking maybe I'm wrong and really screwed up my hair. Thoughts? Please be honest, but nice, I'm a bit too distressed right now for cruelty.

Only thing I would do is add bangs, otherwise it looks like it was done professionally. Show him wtf a mullet is, cause that aint it lol

Thank you Ladies. He's never told me he didn't like something on me so it really threw me off.

I was contemplating bangs but I cut it too short on those front pieces. When they grow out I'll probably attempt to do side swept bangs, but that might be behind my skill set!

I think you would look lovely with some side bangs! Part your hair more on one side and voila!

He must have been having a bad day or something because that's definitely not a mullet. It look like a normal layered kind of look. Wispy bangs would suit you!

I didn't even think about making my screw up into bangs....they will need to be trained, but what about this? I think it works really good!

That's way beyond my ability lol. I literally, put my hair into an upside down ponytail and cut straight across...with dull metal scissors. Yes, I was desperate lol

LOVE! It'll take a bit for your hair to "train" to stay parted that way, but I love it! Come cut my hair lol
