Should I go to ER?

I was diagnosed with a sinus infection on Dec. 27. I took all my antibiotics and still felt the same. Last week I went to the night clinic and was told I have a virus. Well, now my ears and throat are in sever pain. Im so congested Im having a hard time breathing. Tylenol isnt really helping for the pain. Also Im diabetic and my sugar level right now is 178 and I have already done my night injection about 3 hours ago. Im 32weeks.

If you have to ask, you probably already know the answer. The other stuff maybe not, but with the diabetes and pregnancy, that isn't something to mess around with, I would go

178 is not that bad.

But if you are having troubles breathing then I would.

I would go to labor and delivery. Here the ER won't see pregnant women after 20 weeks they make them to to l&d

Unless your dehydrated or worried about LO I would wait n see your gp tomorrow.

Like hard time breathing from your nose being congested or hard time breathing from your lungs?

I feel dehydrated but that could be from my sugar levels. Im not too worried about LO since I have ultrasound today and she seems perfectly healthy. My main concern is that Influenza B is going around here pretty bad. And I want to make sure Im ok. I do however have a prenatal appt tomorrow. I guess Im just really uncomfortable right now. Been sick for about 3 weeks straight.

Combination of the two. My sinuses are really plugged. And the chest breathing I think is just from LO. She still hasnt dropped and its hard to breath from that.

Since you have an appointment tomorrow. I would not go to the ER tonight. On the off chance you dont have Influenza, you could get that or something more serious. That being said they would more than likely send you to L&D. But I still wouldn't go in

In that case I would not go to the ER. Just try to manage it as best as possible at home.

Then you do not need to go in. Hyperglycemia can cause excessive thirst, which is good because your body is trying to even out your blood sugar.

Influenza is not really a huge concern, it can be but it isn't always. I had influenza last year and I felt like smurf for two months. But there is nothing they can do about it anyway. Just talk to your doctor about it tomorrow.

I am assuming you just finished the antibiotics? Some doctors over prescribe, just because they prescribed you antibiotics doesn't mean what you had was bacterial.

They will check you out tomorrow. Can you take some Unisom or Benadryl for sleep?

I finished the antibiotics 2 weeks ago.

I will just try my best to suffer thru it. Darn being sick and pregnant anyway.

it will get better. takes a long time for pregnant woman to get better, my daughters had a regular cold and I got mine from them except in turned into strep throat and lerengitis, then I gave it to my husband and he only had a cold. Try to get thru tonight and see if the doc has any sugestions on getting you back to feeling better. Im GD and my book says to call if its 200 or higher..tho 178 would be extremely high for me, does yours usually go that high? If not then it could just be because of the pain. If its higher then your used to and you do feel dehydrated..try to drink water for about an hour, the more water you get in the feeling will slowly go away.
