Should I be concerned about my baby?

posted 10th Jan
I am almost 15 weeks and still have no symptoms.
I also cant feel any "flutters" from movements like the doctor said I should.
My ultrasound 2 weeks ago the baby seemed fine with a strong heartbeat.
Oh, I also bought a fetal heart monitor and tried it for the first time today but heard no heartbeat.
I dont know what to think or how to feel.
My husband and I will be upset if we lose this miracle.(I was told I'd never get pregnant.)

I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure everything is perfectly fine! Finding a heartbeat and feeling movement depends on the baby's position.

15 weeks is still kind of early to feel movement, so I wouldn't worry. Some women don't feel their LOs until 20wks, and some don't feel them at all.

And dopplers take a bit to get the hang of. If you're worried about that though, I'd call the OB and see what they say about it.

It can be hard to pick up a heart beat in the first trimester. (I got into a car accident when I was pregnant with my son, I was 14 weeks at the time, and the nurses couldn't find a heart beat...freaked me out lol.) Your fears are pretty normal, everyone has them. Im sure your baby is fine mama.

Don't be worried at all! I didn't feel my son until 20ish weeks, and had minimal symptoms(besides a growing tummy! Lol)

One thing is for sure, the Dr isn't always right. Obviously your pregnant, congrats   they told my mom she would never have kids and she had 5 healthy babies, and im pregnant with my first. I didn't feel movement until 19 weeks, so don't worry! Getting stressed definitely won't be good for your pregnancy

This is why they don't recommend people buy dopplers. There are so many accounts of women not picking something up with theirs and running into the ER freaking out needlessly. You're probably not going to find something unless the baby's spine is facing the front or side because there's a lot of fluid, placenta, and other things blocking the heart and although it seems like you should find something very easily, the baby is less than 10 cm long so there's a lot of room to hide and move in there. Take the doppler with you next time you see your doctor or midwife and ask them how to use it, what to listen for and such, just so you know you're doing it properly

Did you use the sono gel? Also you should try to aim lower on your belly.
