My pretty little Daisy

just got her uniform today! I took this picture before I put the patches on her uniform.. she was too excited! We start selling Girl Scout cookies tomorrow.

Adorable. I would of thought after 20 years they could of updated the uniforms a bit though. LOL at least she works it.

if anything the uniforms have gone down hill.. I like the tunic ones for her b/c when shes older if she continues in Girl Scouts, all they wear is vests anymore. I remember being a Brownie and I had a super cute brown jumper, a white button up shirt w/ little brown trefoils on it, a brown hat, brown knee socks, and a brown sash. Now they just have an ugly brown vest. =(

I think they did update them it depends on what the leader orders. I had a little vest thing as a daisy

OP she is adorable I love the beanie! I always rocked mine at school and felt so cool because I was allowed to wear a hat and no one else could

Pffft! Our leader didn't order the uniforms.. we had to drive down to the Girl Scout store (30 minutes away) and buy it ourselves. I spent about $40 on the tunic, beanie, book and some patches.

My mom still has mine and said I can have it when DD gets into Brownies. haha. IDK if she'll wear it, but I might dress her in it one day and take some pictures.

My mom was the leader of my Troop! I had every little piece of uniform you could own... I felt like a doll because my mom enjoyed dressing me up in the stuff just a little too much! lol I want to start a Troop with my daughter when she gets to that age. It was so much fun

Our troop only did the sash or vest. We didn't do the whole uniform.

I want to start a Troop also. Right now I'm learning from the leader of the Troop we're in. We drive about 20ish minutes to go to meetings b/c there are no Troops in our area. I know pleanty of girls who would be in it if there was one closer..but I don't want to have it at my house and don't know how to go about asking a school/church/community center to use it after hours.

the girls in her troop are all mixed. Some have the vest/skirt/hat others just the vest, some just the tunic. I liked the tunic more, it fit her better.

Just be up front and ask if it can be used for Girl Scout meetings they probably would love to donate their space. Growing up we just had them in a class room at the school or the gym or cafeteria.

Yeah.. I will see how this goes, and then probably do my own next year. Right now my schedule is too crazy. I have DD in Kindergarten M-F from 8-11:45 then DS in PreK M-F 12:30-4:40 and I volunteer in both classes several times a week.. when they are on the same schedule it will be easier for me to have some time to devote to that.
