Annoyed

I'm tired of people acting like pregnancy is an illness. I'm not smurfing sick. I'm still capable of working, taking care of my child and cleaning my own damn house. Jesus christ.

For the past 2 months all I've heard is "you shouldn't pick that up. Remember you're pregnant." No, I smurfing forgot I'm a whale. It's 5 pounds, shut the hell up. "You shouldn't be working anymore. You're 8 months pregnant." Yes, thank you, I know how far along I am. I have a desk job. It's nice you can afford to not work, but we need my income. "You don't need to be mopping the floors, vacuuming or sweeping anymore." What the smurf is wrong with these people? Using a broom is not gonna cause me to miscarry and it's not gonna put me into preterm labor. I don't know why these people think they have the right to just tell me what to do when their opinion was never asked for.

I realize I'm a little crabby, but I needed to get that out before I went off on some old lady on facebook.

Bahaha, I remember hearing that when I was pregnant. I told those people "if I shouldn't be doing this or that, than YOU can for me dammit." They shut up after that comment.  

If you feel comfortable doing all of those things then that's your business. If you felt overwhelmed, you wouldn't be doing them. Geez!

I smurfing hate it when people say things like "You shouldn't be doing ______ in your condition." It's like, dude, I'm pregnant. I don't have cancer.  

I haven't heard any of that thank god but I would flip if someone would say those things to me. Of course I get a little more help carrying stuff but hey I don't mind that

Oh my god, this. I had a guy I don't even know ask me if I should be drinking a cup of coffee "in my condition" and I think my entire body turned red trying not to hit him.

My mom told me the other day I don't need to have any more kids because "you and pregnancy don't do well together" all because she drug me out the week before Christmas to shop for pants when I was 7 months pregnant and already felt like a cow with a 19 month old, surrounded by people doing last minute Christmas shopping. Apparently me being irritated at that was just my hormones being smurfed up  

Mostly it's my grandmother that I've met 2 or 3 times. Any time I say anything about school, or folding laundry, or doing ANY housework she comments on my fb and says "you work too hard, I wish you would remember that you're pregnant and stop doing so much"

Um. Do you wanna come smurfing do it? I feel fine! I could stand to lose some weight even, considering I've gained 50 pounds. Jesus.

when we moved into our new apartment last year, i was ALMOST 8 months pregnant. we were originally going to be on the first floor, but it got changed to the second floor (which i actually wanted). my youngest brother didn't know this until we brought him to see the apartment because he was going to help move our stuff and set it up with SO. i told him to follow me up the stairs and i'd show him which one. he was like "...it's upstairs?" "yeah?" "but you're pregnant.."
it was sweet of him to be concerned, but i was thinking "umm... i'm pretty sure pregnant women climb stairs all the time... plus it's JUST one floor." on stock days at work, i got that all the time. they wouldn't let me carry any boxes at all (of course i'd only carry ones that weren't that heavy).

The guys I work with don't want me moving the computers around and that's fine with me because some of them are pretty heavy and they just move them for me. That's fine. If you want to do things for me because I'm pregnant, by all means, go right ahead. It's people who have no business telling me what I should and shouldn't be doing and who never even see or talk to me other than to tell me I shouldn't be doing this or that that piss me off. Unless you're going to get off your ass and come clean my house, make my paycheck and haul my kid around, stfu, ya know? DS is 24 pounds and I've been bitched at for picking him up. WTF am I supposed to do with him?! I'm pretty sure women have been pregnant with toddlers for a very, very long time. Ugh.
