Is the cheapest City to live in.. with the most jobs, with lots of stuff to do?

We're looking into moving but need jobs, with things to do, that wont cost a kidney.

Thanks!

I live in Huntsville, Alabama. The cost of living is cheaper than bigger cities. But the economy here has not declined as it has in a lot of places. This is due to the Redstone Arsenal (Army Base) and all of the contractors they hire.

Not so sure on the has a lot to do scale. It just depends on what you like to do. But we have lots of entertainment here and definitely lots of outdoor activities. I love it here. We were in Ohio for a few years and finally made it back down here with family!

good thing about my area of bama was we were 15 minutes from florida, and 30 from ga so there were options if you wanted to travel for work. when we were down there SO was making much more than minimum wage working in a warehouse

The base is always hiring for people who can do those kinds of trades. Every year they set a minimum they can hire in at. Last year it was 14.90 an hour. So that's decent to start out at.

In addition we have lots of different cable companies that hire a lot for installers. City jobs are harder to get but they start out at 15 an hour.
