My family doesnt approve of meeting people online. They think its weird and you will only meet crazy people and stalkers on there   So we just made up a story to avoid listening to their smurf. We kept it super simple. We told them we met where we had our first date, which is true in a way. It was the first time we had met IRL!

My family didn't like the idea to say the least. I wasn't open with my dad at first with flying to Ohio. He thought I knew Jeremy before. My brother, though, knew where I was going and all the details.

Once I came back, I told everyone the truth. Once my dad met him he was fine with it. Now they are best buds. They go fishing, bike riding, and out to dinner together all the time. haha

An AOL chatroom circa 1998. I was Paislee1 and he was Funbst, which I pronounced "fun-bist" for the longest time until I learned it was actually an acronym for his work. For years we told people we met on a blind date, which was technically true. It's a lot more socially acceptable to meet your beau online nowadays though, so we just tell the truth.  

In high school, I was freshman he was a sophomore. That was 11 1/2 years ago.

A funeral. I know it sounds ridiculous but the WHOLE story is...

We had mutual friends but never actually met before and we saw each other at a mutual friend's funeral and within the next few days he sent me a message on a social network, we exchanged numbers and have been together for a little over 6 years now.

about 14 years ago, at work

He was my older brother's friend and my friend's older brother   

I had the biggest crush on him for like, a year. His sister finally told him I was into him and he hopped right on that!

5 years ago at our home owners accociation pool/basketball court. He was with his little brother and nephew.I'm not going to lie i denied him multiple times lol.i was shy and he's really hot kind of out of my league.i thought he only wanted sex and he would call every attractive girl he sees hot..lol made my confidence go down.glad i gave him a chance.going on four years,getting married next month and expecting our third child

4 Years ago on POF.

At a job we had together. He & I were both up for a promotion & he, being there for over a year, thought he'd get it over me since I was there for only a month. I got the job over him by a landslide. He envied me for taking his promotion & we barely talked. Once I left, he started calling me & we've been together ever since.

KISS concert, he was dressed up as Gene and I was a Love Gun Girl. I was married at the time, but the divorce was going through, and ended up with him after I got divorced. Here's the pic from that show, so strange, how many people can say they have a picture from the first moment they met? LOL

Met hubby online but anyhow he shared to me his experience before we met about this girl that he used to chat in AOL. She claimed that she was separated and after few days of chatting they have decided to meet and hang out in jim's (my hubby) apartment. On that note, as they were watching tv she started to seduce him and ended giving him a bj..LOL. After a week, she just showed up in jim's apartment with luggage and she said she has nowhere to go and she is going home to his parents in pennsylavania but for the time being she has no place to stay. On that night, she wanted to have sex with jim, he sort of saying no but she was sulking and told him its because he already got what he want (she meant the bj) from her he's saying no now. Anyhow, they ended having sex (jim's first sexual intercourse). As they were doing the act, the girl kept asking him to hit her and be more physical but jim refused to. The following morning jim woke up with a sight of horror as he was looking the girl slashed and stabbed herself with a knife. The girl went wild and started throwing things to jim as he called the police. The girl refused to come with the police unless jim will go with her. During the investigation, they found out that she's not legally separated from her husband she just ran away and she said that during sex her husband really likes to hurt her. As she was in the hospital, jim sent flowers and just want to make sure that she's fine but she misunderstood his act and started saying that they can work things out but after that day jim moved out and stayed with his relatives for a while cause his family was also scared she might returned and done something more terrible. After a month of not logging in the chatroom, jim took a peek with a different username and found that psycho girl online (probably looking for another prospect).

DH was my brothers roomate when they were in the military. When my brother came home one weekend he had me friend DH on MySpace so he could talk to him. DH thought I was cute and messaged me on AIM. I wasn't really interested since I was getting ready to head off to college. He was pretty persistent and a year later we were married. That was almost 7 years ago. Wow can't believe it has been that long already.

We met almost 10&1/2 years ago in the cow barn.at our county fair   my friend and I were basically chasing this guy and his friend around and they ended up talking to us and dh and I started dating a few days later, yea I'm really proud of it lol
