Baby Shower Ideas!

For new mommies having a baby shower, or moms who are having another baby shower, or if you are throwing one for a relative or a friend.  

Ask for baby or children books instead of cards they cost about the same and would be read by the baby as he/she grows up. instead of a card where it would most likely be sitting in box after the shower. Have them sign the inside cover or the cover like a card so you know who gave you the book and present just like a card.

Have a drawing for 25 dollar gift card for Meijer, Wal-Mart, or any place... but the only way for their name to be put in the drawing is if they bring a bag or box of diapers.

Helpful hints:
put the information about the books instead card and the drawing for gift card on the invitations.
remind the guest that the diapers are part of the drawing... and that you would still like gifts for the baby because they might think that the diapers are the gift.

The baby book idea is great! That would be more worth the money than cards.. But I don't feel comfortable directly stating people what to get me and the baby ha i'm lucky if they even get him/us anything.
