Mamas with clingy infants

If your child was/is super clingy, when did they start growing out of it? Was there anything you did to encourage them to feel better without you having to hold them all the time? What were the worst ages?

Once she starting being able to move around (crawl) she became somewhat better. Walking and around 15 months I felt sane again.  

Now that my daughter crawls she will follow me around the house. I try to get her sister to play with her and sometimes it's a good distraction from being at my feet!!

Oh wow this gives me so much hope! LO is about to crawl so I hope that will cause a decrease in crying and increase in sleeping! lol.

she was really clingy from ages 7-9ish months, then learned to walk...did her own thing for awhile...now at 14 months shes being clingy again! but its just a phase...im going to enjoy it while it lasts!
