It's the same IMO you may not legally be a rapist but if you fantasize about having sexual relations with a minor you're fantasying about rape.

I didn't seek help for mine. I held it in for years and years. I would still never hurt my children.

It is dependant partly on the persons personality. My abuser (the only one I really know enough about anyway) was abused by his stepfather physically when he was a child. His personality has to come into it if he was abused and becomes an abuser and I am not an abuser.

I understand in some cultures it has always been accepted, I personally don't care what 2 adults do (no matter their gender, sex, etc) as long as it isn't in my bedroom. LOL I am just curious if science will begin to view it differently in the future. For myself it will not change my opinion, no child can consent to a relationship like that.

I addressed that in my next response....I don't think any child can consent to a sexual relationship. I am just wondering if science will be able to cast a different light on it in the future. Maybe medication that helps, therapy they find actually works, et,.

I didnt speak a word of what happened until i hit 12 then i was a roller coaster of me blowing up "processing"
But yes the person is a huge part of it I agree..

Nope. Never really sought help. Went down a loooong road of drugs, promiscuity, more drugs and multiple suicide attempts. Got a full blown eating disorder and now with two kids I am sitting here, still with an eating disorder, still hearing voics and seeing things but going "hey, least I get to see them have the childhood I never got"

Obilously you know from a young age that you have these feelings, doesn't mean you act on them. It can be helped and avoided all together!
