An extra $150 for groceries. You want to spend it on stuff to stock your pantry. What kind of non perishables would you buy with it. Spending as much of it as you can. I'll have around $150 left from my taxes after paying a couple bills and i want to use it to stock our pantry because I'm tired of scrambling to make meals at the end of the month because we are out of everything and don't have extra money for a few days.

canned food. Beans, corn, peas etc. You can get the instant mashed potatoes, alfredo noodles (in a bag that you cook on the stove), rice (chicken flavored, mexican flavored etc), tuna (tuna salad), Hamburger helper. I usually do this and it helps a ton. Plus those are all really easy sides and meals that don't take long a all.

I didn't think about spices!! We cook from scratch a lot so we use tons of spices, especially garlic salt ! I'll look through the spices and see what's low!

Beans, Mac and Cheese, Ramen, Soups, Noodles, Rice, Dinty Moore Beef Stews ((I mix it with the rice for an easy meal with left overs!)) Things to make chili.
I would also pick up some of the frozen pizzas, steamable bags meals, and bread to freeze.
