When I was 17 all I thought about was graduating and going to college...

I think the mere difference in one action being done out of desperation to keep an SO and the other is being done out of being a vindictive child who didn't get their way.

That's how I view it. I understand what you're getting at however.

Uhh its smurffy to have a baby just to control someone else.

And I don't with agree with either action Jess. One just appears more reprehensible because of the reasoning behind the conception.

Both are terrible things to do.

I look at that desperation as a form of vindictiveness though. In order to stop a man from moving on with his life, they attempt to trap him with a baby. Just as mean.

I feel for the OP - if she is true - because I felt that way as a teenager. While I didn't end up pregnant, I could have easily. The baby wasn't my "goal" of spitefulness, but the sex was...so ultimately, the outcome would have been the same.

I just think its hilarious how people act like at 17, she should be grown enough not to have irrational emotions that make her make dumb decisions. I guarantee some of those same posters in this thread have made dumb decisions that led to a child at a later date in their life.

Having a baby does NOT get back at your parents. You may think you have a bad life now. Just think what it would be like with a baby for you to have to take care of. YOUR baby is YOUR responsibility. And to think you are 17. At 18 ppl vote and I hope to God that a lot of immature ppl like you grow a brain before they start making decisions that affect my life also!

It's not just her age. I'd say what I did to a 30 year old as well.

Yet, women on here trap their men every single day with pregnancies and are not told that they are the "stupidest person alive."

This. I think both Motives for getting pregnant are deplorable, but this is the most out of control and permanent temper tantrum I've ever seen a child take.
