Quoting Carrie&Co.:" Also, why wouldn't they let some of y'all have a picture from the sonogram? How could they deny that ... [snip!] ... and only said she would show me if I wanted and printed out a clear picture of the two little beans as soon as I asked."
I think they would have given me one if i asked for it. There was a living baby in there too, so it was a little more complicated. I didn't fully understand what I was looking at. There was also a ton of other stuff going on at the time. I was dilating early (cervix issues unrelated to vanishing twin). I had placenta previa.. etc..etc. It wasn't until they had to send away my placenta for testing after delivery and discussed a cyst in the placenta (caused by the second baby being absorbed by the placenta) that I was even 100% sure of what was going on.
In hindsight, i remembered them measuring an extra sac of fluid and 'stuff' inside of it. When I talked to my hubby about it, he was like .. yeah .. no kidding. lol So i'm thinking maybe I wasn't as much distracted as I was having a bit of tunnel vision. Focus on what we can save instead of what we couldn't .. you know?
