You could always look up any other people who are Wicca through meetup.com. I found a couple groups on there that helped me when I felt really alone in it. Also have you looked up local Wiccan festivals, near us they actually have a Wicca Ball once per year.

I have also found it's easier to make friends with others of different religions who do not present themselves as an extremist.

I live near Athens, GA and they have a Pagan Pride day every year. I go to that. And there is a coven a couple towns over who have rituals open to the public. I used to celebrate the Sabbats with them. I'd love to go back. I will look into meetup.com . I've never heard of that site before. Thanks!

A friend of mine thinks it's "greedy" and "selfish" not to share christianity with the people you love, and want to spend "eternity" with... he gave me a bible, but I think he knows that I really don't give a smurf when he realised I use it to prop up a fan.

Lmao! I like both of those, but I love the Raptor Jesus.

One thing for sure is no could take your daughter away because of your spiritual practice of Wicca. All I can tell you is stand up for your beliefs and always be true to yourself. You don't have to justify yourself to your family or anyone else.

The thing is I don't NOT believe in a god, I just don't believe in one, either. I'm an agnostic. I don't mind to entertain the idea of a deity with people that actually provide a good explanation for one, like my coworkers. My mother and family on the other hand are so ignorant I can't even stand it. My mom told me in November, the last time we discussed any of it that dinosaurs never existed because they weren't in the bible and evolution was the devil   Are you smurfing serious? She really said all the fossils we have are a government conspiracy. I wanted to kill myself a little bit. How the hell did I come from that? Ugh. DH's family is Christian and I just go to church with them when they ask and never have let them know where I stand because it's none of their business. If they want to take DS to church with them that's fine but I will make sure he knows when the time comes that he needs to think for himself and decide if a deity is something that makes sense to him. We'll cross that bridge when the time comes and I'm sure it's gonna be fun.

He just laughed at me. Sometimes we send each other really stupid religious crap that make us both facepalm, and he's the kind of person that believes the world is only 6k years old.
