Got my textbooks today...

....$400 damned dollars. WHY THE HELL ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE?! These are only for two of my four classes.

I paid $500 for 2 books today. Yuk.

$200 for a loose leaf book that you put into your own binder & can't resell. talk about a waste.

I know right. You can "rent" books here. It's $40 cheaper and you still have to return it.

book prices suck.

That's crazy. I'm so glad the GI bill sends Chris extra $$ for books.

Smurf. Ours are just like $10 cheaper than buying.

But luckily I'll only need one more book next semester for A&PII.

I went to a college were books were included in my tuition and we just borrowed them and returned them at the end of semester. Im so thankful for that because I hardly EVER actually opened a book, half the time the textbooks I had were never used. I dont know why they are so expensive.

DH could have transferred his GI to me had he stayed in two more years. He doesn't even want to go to college. At least, not yet. Once I graduate and get a job I'll be making more than he does now and I told him I'd be more than happy to work while he went to college if he wanted to.

That's awesome! I wish it were like that here.
They're cutting out loans at my college next year so all we'll have are scholarships and "payment plans." So I'm hoping to get a scholarship since I have a 3.66 GPA. If I don't, I'll have to transfer to another school.
