If you for sure are done, and don't want an uh-oh baby i'd go for the tubal or have your SO get fixed.

There is actually a procedure now where they just insert small rods into your uterus where the fallopian tube meets it, and causes scar tissue to form. It's called Essure. I don't really want my tubes tied because I have heard that usually within 5 years of that, the woman needs a hysterectomy(a stat I got from a nurse), but I don't know if it's any different with that.

I've heard of way to many women getting pregnant after having their tubes tied. A lot of the time it ends up being ectopic and rupturing and stuff. Not worth the surgery to still have that risk. What about SO getting snipped or an iud?

he wont do that. for the same reasons as me. if its not neccesary then he wont.
im leaning toward the tubal. can it be reversed easily if health problems occur? im worried about that.

It can be reversed it does not always work tho... There should be no problems with it tho... It wont effect anything.

I've told DH that after the next pregnancy, I'm getting my tubes tied regardless of how it ends. If we have another baby, awesome. If it's another loss, it's the world telling me I'm only meant to have Heathen.
He hasn't given me any input on how he feels about that. He's deployed right now, so he's got other things to worry about.
He's also said he would get snipped.

I say no. I watch this lady on youtube, her hubby got a vasectomy back in 2004 because they were SURE they were done, only to change their minds and this past summer he got a reversal. they have had a few miscarriages and are struggling to conceive. I say use condoms, pills, IUD, any less permanent type of birth control, because in all honesty, YOU NEVER KNOW, you're feelings might change a few years down the line.

Well, getting a vasectomy is WAAAAY less risk than getting a tubal. I believe both can be reversed.
