Not sure about baby gym but I have a baby einstein one. I washed it on cold and hung it to dry because of the plastic crinkly stuff in some of the toys and the plastic cover where a water thing is supposed to go in.

I just used to hang mine over a door to dry.

I always dried ours in the dryer. We never had any issue with it shrinking.

I rumble dry mine on low

dry it on low heat...some might say no heat, but I didn't have that option on my old dryer.
