switching from soy to gentle formula

My 11 week old is full time on Gerber good start soy formula...at first we tried the soothe because she was fussy and gassy but she did not like the taste so the dietitian at WIC suggested switching to soy (she was throwing up a lot at the time too). Last week I stopped breastfeeding all together because every time she would fuss. So now she is taking the soy fine but she is very constipated, we tried the Karo syrup in her bottle (doctors orders) but she is still constipated sometimes. So the dietitian said we could switch her to the gentle formula and said that we could stop soy all together, but it seems to me that if I'm switching her from a soy based formula to a milk based formula that it should be done gradually. Has anyone just stopped one formula and started another? Any suggestions?

My little boy was on Similac advance and I switched him to gerber goodstart soy and it constipated him horribly and karo syrup,rectal stimulation,nothing helped him so I just completely switched him to gerber goodstart gentle and he was a completely different baby overnight,I didn't slowly introduce it I just switched cold turkey

Awesome! How long was he on the soy?

He was on it for a little over a month he's 2 months old now and the switch was really simple

We had the same problem with constipation from the soy so we switched to the Gerber Goodstart Gentle and LOVE it!
