Almost 20 weeks...

& I've lost a total of 3 pounds in the past 5 months.
UGH. It's so agitating knowing that as my tummy gets slightly bigger every day, every other part of me is slowly shrinking!
I guess I'm lucky though. The doc says I'm growing well, even with the weight loss.
Now, just to wait until Monday so I can find out what I'm having!!!!

thats good that you have only lost 3lbs. im 16wks and ive already lost 25lbs. from hyperemesis.

I lost like 4 pounds within a matter of a few weeks thanks to MS  . But then once I hit a certain number of weeks I gain like there is no tomorrow. At my last 4 week apt, I had gained 10 pounds since my previous one. So you should start gaining soon. And hey I am all baby lol. So don't worry you will hopefully start gaining! And as long as the doctor isn't concerned about the weight loss then you should be ok

I lost 25 lbs in my first 30 weeks then finally gained some back in the last ill say 11 weeks because i went to 41 weeks

Yeah, I am ALL baby. My cousin has an 8 yr old so I go to her for advice now, she saw me last weekend for the first time since I told her I was pregnant & she swore I was only about a month or two in. I told her that I was 5 months & then she put her hand on my belly & was like, "Oh yeah, you are ALL baby. Your tummy is so hard & you can feel exactly where the baby is."
I'm not terribly worried about the weight. I'm more concerned about people telling me that if you don't gain much weight in the beginning of your pregnancy, you blow up in the last half. I don't want to gain too much. My family is very big on outer appearance & have already begun to give me grief about how I shouldn't gain too much because they don't want me getting fatter...good support system, eh?

I definitely think that is a great support system...not! Pregnancy is beautiful, and it makes me so sick when I hear people telling women don't gain to much, I mean hell it's not like we are trying to gain 100 pounds or something. I mean as long as you stay at the 40 pound limit you should be ok, I mean heck I have gained so far I was 112 went to 108 and now I am 134, and I lost weight too. I don't think you will have to much to worry about, and just try to stay as active as you can! And screw the whole outer appearance you are going to gain weight most likely and if they don't like you because you gained weight that does not sound like people I would want to be around jmo. I think you shouldn't have to stress over something so small. You have years after he/she gets here to lose the weight ya know? I mean good luck!
