My DD is lost when it comes to straws lol.

I have seen her try and drink out of the cup I keep by the bath tub to wash her hair off & it seems like she knows how to tilt it and drink out of it but idk. I just think it is possibly more a mess risk but I only give her water for now since she gets boob milk.

DD couldnt figure out how to lift a spout sippy to drink from it. At 10 months I brought her a straw sippy and the one I got, you push the sides and the drink comes up the straw so they know thats where their drink is. A few pushes on the sides, and she figured out how to drink from the straw and loves it. She STILL- 9 months later- does not know to hold a spout sippy upwards for a drink. She used her spout sippy to lay down and drink milk at night, and her straw the rest of the time.

I'm just a bad mom   Rory has some milk each day already, but he won't nurse much and doesn't really take much formula, he'll take 4oz and refuse the rest. So I have to give the kid something to drink. He gets water most of the day and milk right before bed.

You could try an Oxo Tot cup. They have the sippy/trainer or just a trainer. You can get them off amazon.com. I have 2 for my DD (10 months) she doesn't really drink out of them much yet, but she will. They have 2 different lids. One is a sippy lid and the other is a slow flow open top lid. I let her drink out of them using both, but she doesn't know to tilt the cup up quite yet which is why she doesn't drink out of them. They look like this.

No you aren't! I just won't give it to her yet because stomach issues are common with the connective tissue disorder she most likely has, so I don't want to upset her tummy too early kwim?

Ohhh yeah! I forgot you guys had that! We've been lucky he has no issues with anything as of yet. He is starting to get pickier as he tries more things though. He won't eat some veggies now because I'm guessing he knows there's yummier things out there haha.

I mean she hasn't had any complications from it so far *knock on wood* but they are pretty sure she has my bleeding disorder.

Lily is weird about food, like she has to see me eating it first before she will eat ANY of it. If I put some veggies out for her on her highchair tray she will just look at it like wtf lol. If she sees me eating veggies she is ALL for it lol.

I'm glad so far she's doing well with it!

That's so funny lol. It's like it's only good enough if it's mommy's food.
