Co-sleeping?

posted 10th Jan
Im interested in co-sleeping and Im just looking for opinions from moms who have tried it? I obviously plan on buying a co-sleeper but before I buy one I would like to hear some opinions because I can read all the information Online but it isn't the same as hearing others experiences.

i loved the bond that cosleeping offered, and when we did do it cameron slept much better. the only downfall is when you want to get your baby into their own crib its a little more difficult to transition them after theyre used to sleeping with you

No cosleeper here. Just good old fashioned snuggling   just don't have a rediculus Amt of pillows and blankets. Only what's necessary. I try to keep them away from daddy cause men aren't as sensitive to the colds presence as moms. But some dads are. I always slept with one arm over dd. I can't imagine eer sleeping without my baby. I'm having a hard time accepting my dd being in the nicu because idk how I'm gonna sleep without her   it breaks my heart.

I co slept with my first and it is such a hard thing to break. Because of that I have chosen that all my other children will sleep in their own beds.

I have co-slept with my DD since day one. at first I had a Moses' basket on the bed against the wall. (since the headboard and one side of the bed is against the wall.) Now she sleep towards the wall next to me. I love it, if she starts fussing in the middle of the night I'm right there to comfort her. It makes me feel more comfortable to have her next to me so I can hear her breathing and whatnot, I'm just a crazy I guess who likes to hear her kid breathe at night to go to sleep. I can't sleep without her in the bed with me.

She sleeps in my arms, on her side.
My arms under her an I wrap that arm around her body so she doesn't roll then wrap my other arm around her kinda like a hug.
If SOs not in bed I let her sleep in the middle of the bed with me on the edge so she doesn't roll off the bed.

I don't own a co sleeper. I have no need for one. I stay still all night with her. I don't know how maybe it's instinct not to move lol

We co-sleep but don't use a co-sleeper. Our infant just sleeps in the bed with us. It's a lot easier to feed her, just pop her right on breast then we both go to sleep again. Our oldest daughter weaned herself at almost three years old, she now prefers to sleep on the floor next to her bed lol.

We didn't plan on co sleeping, but DD ended up in the bed with us after two weeks. I kept in mind that if I was drinking at all and wouldn't be as aware of her I couldn't keep her in bed with me. We're now transferring her to her crib at 6 months and she's doing great!

I co-slept with both of my children. We still do on rare occasions too.
Snuggled up in my chest was the way we did it   Skye slept with me until she was around 6 months old.
Maxwell slept with me until he was around a year old ( he was different because him and I lived alone for a while before my husband and I move in together and got married)

I always swore I wouldn't co-sleep, but after the first week of sleep deprivation I was desperate so I brought LO to bed with me and we have been co-sleeping ever since. I have never used a cosleeper though. Me and SO are on different sleep schedules so it is just me and LO in bed and I have always been very aware she is there. Just natural instincts I guess.

Occasionally I will lay down with DD in bed and BF her, sometimes we'll fall asleep together. I don't like to do it often though, I sleep terribly when she's next to me partly because she squirms & grunts a lot & I'm paranoid.

Thanks ladies! I was dead set on cosleeping until I told my mom and she freaked out and said it was a really bad idea but this definitely eased my mind
