Desitin Disaster!!!!!!!

posted 10th Jan
So, my 2 year old was playing in her room and she got quiet which usually tells me she is misbehaving. I smelled something very strong coming from her room and I went in...... DESITIN CREAM EVERYWHERE! Her entire body is covered, her hair, her fluffy rocking horse, the mirror, dressor, carpet! The whole thing was squeezed out.
I'm giving her a bath right now and the cream is not wiping off its just smearing and its so glued in her hair. Idk how to get it out. Does anybody have any ideas or have had this happen to them before? Also, how do i get it out of her carpet and her fluffy rocking horse?

For her hair, use ethnic shampoo. I think I used the Pink brand. Worked like a charm....but that was for Petroleum Jelly. (Dont ask!   ))

I'll try   It's pretty much just sticking to everything. now the bathtub is all slimy and Abigale still has smeared butt cream covering her entire body.

I've gotten a little bit on our carpet before. The stuff is a bitch to get out. Do you have any goo gone or anything? We have a steam carpet cleaner and about 20 different uses of that finally worked.

I would take her out, clean the tub with dishsoap, refill it and start over.

haha...sorry ive been there. My son got the couch and carpet though... For his hair i washed him a couple of times with normal soap he was not a happy boy he hates having his hair washed. It was easier for me to get it out of his hair because its not long try using adult shampoo maybe? i pulled the couch apart and pre treated it and did a pre soak. the carpet was a major pain though. i scrubbed and scrubbed gave up and let my dad take over.

Give her a shower instead of a bath. The residue is getting in the water & recoating her.

Thank you for all of the ideas. The dish soap worked to clean off her body and her hair. I never would have thought of using it so I appreciate the help   Now the pain of cleaning everything else. Very exciting! :p
