I'm okay knowing my daughter and newborn wi be well taken care of.
It's the recovery I'm afraid of.
I still couldn't even walk from all the stitches I had with my 1st delivery.
I'm going to fight more time off too
I know they would not like me to quit

Well thats good, I hope you can get your time you need to heal!! Are you medically released by then? Can you get a note from your doctor saying you cant return to work until 'x' date?
I have c-sections and I know I can get a note from my doc. They only reason I came back so soon with my other children is because I worked for my dad at the time.

In my state not sure about others
While u are using continuous fmla they use your paid time off and then it's unpaid leave after they've used it all.

A friend of mine stayed home for two days before she went back to work, crazy lady

Yeah but u took that long off already? I think it's every year though. So maybe since its a new yr you can get a new fmla leave? and fmla is federal so all states are the same.

I did. I was in the hospital and under home care with a nurse. I was lucky it stopped and it didn't last my entire pregnancy >.<
I'm going to ask about disability leave and just unpaid time off.. I'm going to fight for at least 2 more weeks off.

I would. If the employer likes you they may just let you do it. When do u get your new vacation and sick time? We just got ours jan 1.

I already have accumulated 3 days paid time off lol Not sure about sick time.
I'm thinking of changing my fmla so it starts 2-3 weeks after my due date versus on my due date.. That way I can take vacation time off starting on my due date. That way they won't use up my paid time off again during the leave

I dont get anyhting at all. Was told I dont "qualify" for FMLA bc you have to work a certain amt of hours in order to qualify. I don't get any paid sick or vacation time at my job. Soooo come March....ohhh well I'm out. ONly thing is I have to suffer with health issues all the way up untill my due date. My job is laying everyone off while Ill be having the baby so I could care less. Hate my job.

True lol. My job sucks its in the ghetto though and everyone is mean as hell here. I got threatened to be punched in the face yesterday by a 65 yr old woman lol. They dont give you any benefits at all not even health insurance. They just suck.
