Quoting JessieLeeAnne:" I wasnt going to...but I am thinking if the flu is soo bad this year, I might just have to suck it up and get me and him vaccinated. "
Quoting ~Manda Panda +3 ~:" No. How many of these kids had the flu shot already? Just out of curiosity. I've never gotten the shot ... [snip!] ... flu. I get colds but that's it. Same with the kids. We've never done that shot for them and they've never had the flu. "Not sure, that is what Im trying to find out
Quoting Brat ✖ Status:" No. One of the things they are saying is that the flu shot doesnt even have the same strain as whats ... [snip!] ... they could have had under lying helath issues and the flu is what caused something to shut down or irritate something else."This is how the flu mainly kills people. For an average healthy person the flu isn't a big deal, but as for my daughter that has asthmatic issues it could kill her (hints why we get the flu shot to possibly reduce the symptoms if she does get it)

Quoting Rabbit™:" People keep saying that they aren't even using the active strain in this year's vaccine. Is there anything ... [snip!] ... and that the vaccine may not prevent it 100% in some people, but it will help you fight it off better if you do get sick."It MAY help you or may not. Its a risk, if you have any underlying condition (i.e. diabetes, asthma, lupus, etc) the flu has a highly likely chance of killing you just because your immune system and body aren't in "healthy" c ondition.
