Don't wanna cut her hair!

posted 10th Jan
My DD has long Blonde very curly hair and I really don't want to ut it but most of the time this is what it looks like ..........

LOL and she never lets me do anything with it but brush it (that's not even possible sometimes!) and put it up in a pony tail or bun.

So anyways my question is....Should I wait or cut her hair?! I know it's my choice but I honestly don't know what to do....

I'd cut it into something more manageable.

aww she is cute! What are you washing it with? Once I found something that didn't tangle DD's hair and made it easier to come she let me fix it more. I wouldn't cut it

Don't brush it because it will just poof out more. Try combing with a wide tooth comb while it's wet and then just leave it alone as it dries.

I dont think cutting it will make her hair more manageable. Maybe get a defrizzer oil type thing and just run it through her hair? It helps so much if you get a good one! If you do try, get a thicker one, the runnier ones seem to do nothing.

I would not cut it. She needs length to weigh it down. You should not be brushing curly hair, it breaks it and makes it frizzy. After you wash it you should add a leave in conditioner and put it in a bun

She is so cute...I love the curls. I wouldn't want to cut them either.

But if its hard to manage then I understand. I have curly hair so it's hard to deal with somedays.

Usually I was it with my shampoo and conditioner and then put Frizz-ez or how ever you spell it in her hair and use detangler which helps a lot but its just frustrating because she hardly ever lets me do anything with it lmao she let me straighten it yesterday but I don't want to do that a lot and fry her hair.
Any suggestions on what else to try?

I wouldn't cut it. It will look weird short and curly. Try some products to smooth and detangle it.

My daughter's hair was the same way
I dont have a good picture of it but

it was to her butt and it was such a pain because she NEVER let me brush it, wash it, put it up, ANYTHING
So I had it cut off to a little below her chin
I smurfing bawled the entire time that my babies beautiful hair was gone... but it was much more manageable. Now it's slowly but surely getting back to where it was and she is MUCH better about brushing it now.

Other than not brushing it......do NOT straighten it. Her hair is too fragile and it probably looks so frizzy because every time you do it more of her hair is snapping off. She's 3 years old. She does not need ironed hair. If you comb it the right way and get it trimmed you won't have to do anything with it.

Id cut it but keep the length but take a lot of the weight out by adding layers...I think getting rid of some of the hair will help make it more manageable ...and as someone else said while its wet use a wide tooth comb with detangler
