I'm not a bad pet owner. I told you, I tried cleaning it up. I just didn't get the cat fixed. That costs money you know? Money I didn't have.

There are programs that give you a spay/neuter voucher.
Unless you're breeding cats for show and pedigree, there's no excuse for keeping them intact. I think the same can be said for a lot of domestic animals. Beyond the spraying and what not, keeping a female cat intact can have a negative impact on their health. Intact cats are more likely to suffer from various reproductive cancers.

Yeah, pets cost money. Don't get them if you don't have the money to properly care for them.

Omfg I tried sitting here and reading all the comments but every one of OP's replies made it harder and harder to keep my mouth shut. I can feel myself getting pissed just at your ignorance. You don't not get a cat fixed it's effing 45 god damn dollars... I took in a stray that happened to be pregnant. She only had one kitten. And that bitch is getting spayed this weekend. How can you stand the whaling!? Of a cat in heat let alone the damn spraying! 45 bucks is not that much and soooo worth it. You can literally smell a DROP of spray let alone 3-5 kittens pissing everywhere and a cat in heat?! Wtf. This made me physically angry. Yes you ARE a bad pet owner, and if officials are noticing the smell of your house I'd down right be embarassed let alone freaked and grossed the eff out. Jesus H Christ Woman... I am only 19 years old and I just wanna lecture the smurf out of you. I had to train the kitten the mother doesn't always do it. When I kitten isn't potty trained it's laziness I sat here for 2 weeks watching he every movement and tossing her in that damn box. And Mama gets s swift slap on the ass and tossed across the room if I catch her spraying/marking I mean it when I say it only takes a DROP of that spray to stink an entire house. She marks dishes! Clean dishes how do you not notice that? Get rid of the cat SPCA humane society it's a lot more cruel to your unborn childs health, that poor unspayed horny ass cat, and those kittens to sit there and say "This weekend" Do it now. They'll all get fixed there. That's just laziness. You're lazy. Point blank. You wanted kittens? Go buy one. ONE. And you should have had her fixed after she stopped feeding. This whole post. Just ew. You should have googled it, and kept that smurf to yourself if you didn't want to be looked at as gross or a bad pet owner. But frankly you seem like one. Take care of that smurf. Or train the damn cats. It takes time. Grow some patients or don't have pets. What are you going to do when you have to potty train your child say "She doesn't like the toilet so she goes wherever?" No you'll train them!

You are so wrong.
I have NEVER been in a position where I was overrun by animals because of being a negligent pet owner. When I can't care for my animals, I put them somewhere where they will be cared for. Please don't assume we all make negligent mistakes of this degree, because this actually isn't all that common a situation like you pretend it is.

This

So right.

It is not common to be overrun with cats that leave their piss anywhere and everywhere. If you get an animal you plan, and make sure you have the money for vets, and future cost. Such as spraying, and needing spayed and neutered. What would she have done when all 4 kittens came into heat. Males spray. And females mark, AND kitten/cats don't have preference to incest they will breed with each other. That's just another whole mess in itself. She shouldn't have gotten a fertile cat to breed and let it get this ridiculous.

Omg I wanted to cut her head off the other day. I just called today to get her spayed she just came out but she goes in every two weeks since birthing the kittens! I don't understand how people can ignore that.

If you would've took the time to read every one of the comments, you probably wouldn't have even posted it. I'm not a bad pet owner. My cats were trained. They went in their litter box for a long time. Then they stopped. I really didn't even bother reading have of this, because it's all rude.

I read all 6 pages but and all but 3 comments and gave up. And still felt the need to post this. Don't care if you read it, damn thing was more of a vent I had to get out after reading this BS.

The only reason a cat will be litter trained one day, then not the next is because there was too much smurf in the box how many litter boxes* did you have. because one for 5 cats isn't enough 1 for two almost isn't enough here. And speaking of which WHERE is the smurf going?

Marry me?
Seriously though...$45 to get 'em spayed/neutered saves a lot of headache. Plus it's a very, very small amount of money when you think about how much it costs to care for the kittens, future health problems and to defunk your home. I'm going next week to get the works for my recent adoptee. It's money I could be spending on other things, but it's worth it to have a happy, healthy pet.

There are TWO litter boxes, and they were cleaned constantly. And whenever the cat smurf was cleaned up, it went outside in the big trash can.
