So I'll repeat again. She had arranged to meet up with friends both male and female, friends she went to School with that she knew well and trusted. Instead of jist hanging out with them they drugged her as planned on picking her up, transported her from party to party whilst unconcious and repeatedly gang raped. She is referred to in the video repeatedly as "dead girl" because she is that unresponsive throughout. In total she was drugged, kidnapped, gang raped and assaulted. So at the risk of going round in circles I ask you instead how is deciding to meet up with friends to hang out risky behaviour? I arranged to meet up with friends 100's of times at 15 years old to hang out. I never once considered there might be a risk of them slipping drugs in my Coke just so they could kidnap and rape me. Apparently I must have been engaging in risky behaviour every damn day going by those standards

I have no idea what either one of you are trying to prove. NO ONE is blaming the girl. Aside from the disgusting videos of the football players, show me where ANYONE said the girl deserved it.

OMG that is horrible  

Me and my friend were in Glasgow centre one night and she was absolutely steamin' and I wasn't, think it was still during my "paranoid bastard" phase lol so I had my wits about me and we were just sitting on a bench, she was feeling quite sick. Well 2 guys walk past and spot us and come over trying to talk, offer us a smoke I said no, my friend said yes. Of course they hit out with well it's up stairs in the flat, there's the door right there I said no, she said yes and this went back and forth for a minute. She just jumps up and says she is going and before I know one has her in his arms and they're all going through the flat door and she's laughing along cos she is so drunk she hasn't the sense to know nothing! I ran after her to try and grab her but no I got pushed in the door and led upstairs. They were being fake nice at this point so all I could do was try and be as calm as I possibly could, they tried to ply us with drink, smoking, whatever. I said quite a few times it was time to leave and they said no and continued to pour more alcohol, I didn't drink anything or accept anything they offered. Seeing as they were quite pushy about us not leaving and at this point quite pushy in general I decided to nicely ask where the bathroom was and take my friend, nope as soon as we got into the hall I dragged half concious to the door but there was no key I honestly thought that was it but then one of the room doors opened and a guy I hadn't seen appeared. I just looked at him terrified because I didn't know what he was up to but he went into a drawer in the hall got the key, pushed us out the door and told me he would distract them to give us time to leave. I just ran down the stairs holding her hand and dragging her along with me, got into the street and they actually came bursting into the street moments later running after us. They caught up with us and put their arms round us at either side and at that moment a big group of guys walked round the corner, they took one look and they must've just known, they just jumped in front of us split us up from them and started squaring up to them and I just ran. I feel like I ran so fast but I couldn't have been because I was dragging her along at the same time   That must've been the most terrifying experience of my life. Alot of people told me I should've just left her instead of putting myself at risk by walking up to the door to try and grab her from it, mostly people that were really close to me and suppose angry that anything could've happened but if I hadn't and she had been there alone I don't know what would've happened. I don't who the guy was that mysteriously appeared in the hallway and opened the door or the group of guys who appeared from around the corner but I'm so thankful for them and really it's a whole load of luck that everything happened the way it did

I'm privy to information no one else has?   You are aware how the case came to light? You are aware it was being covered up? You are aware there has been a lot of corruption involving coaches, students, attorneys, police? That evidence has been destroyed, witnesses threatened? No????? That is why there has been thousands protesting and demanding FBI get involved? What are you under a rock?

Anyone who says rape is okay, tries to justify it or says it doesn't really exist (there are many people who believe this), is a scumbag rapist sympathizer who deserves to be shot in the head. Saying "NO" doesn't work, that is why it is called RAPE! If someone can physically overpower you, or even mentally, and you are violated against your will, it is rape, period- end of discussion, and it is wrong in every way. ....why don't you call her out for calling me a "rape apologist"? That is more than disgusting and insulting, in light of the fact that I'm not! Her character is peachy and you defend her position after she said something so disgustly untrue about me??


This isn't about "seeing another point of view". I clarified, refined and gave examples of why I think being on defense, in general, is very beneficial. I absolutely said that NO ONE deserves to get raped or assaulted.

I didn't know the whole story at first and I quickly rescinded, once I was filled in with the "facts".

The ONLY part I enforced was that I thought women (people) participate in risky behaviors or simply don't take all of the precautions they should.

THAT is what I said.

I shouldn't have to defend myself over and over again, especially regarding BOGUS accusations that I somehow give rapists a free pass.

Neither one of you wanted to let up...so of course I got nasty. I eas getting really damned tired of being harrassed about something totally untrue.

And you know what, I WAS RAPED as a teenager. I have never, EVER told that to someone that I didn't know. Wanna know the circumstance? I was 16, drunk and at a party. I passed out and some dude thought it would be fun to get on top and have his way. I was a virgin.

So, excuse the smurf outta me for trying to impart a bit of wisdom from my own, personal experience. I don't blame myself. I never have. But I have thought about how it could have been prevented over and over and over again. If I hadn't have been smurffy drunk, I'd have left with my friends and it wouldn't have happened. The problem is that until you remove the rapists actions from the equation, you change nothing. Being smurffy drunk should maybe be a risk for alcohol poisoning, or choking on your own vomit. It may even be a risk for having a car accident if you go drive a car I suppose. It should not be a risk for being raped. The fact is a rapist is just looking for a chance, and if it wasn't you, it would be someone else & if she want' drunk,then he'd find another way, so on & so forth. Just like a lion will pick off the weak, small or aged when hunting a pack of animals, a rapist takes what is easy first. But just like a lion won't starve simply because there is no easy prey, a rapist won't stop just because they may have to work harder. Rape isn't really a crime of opportunity. The rapist doesn't think rape is wrong except, there was this one time....when it was such easy pickins.

I am sorry for what happened to you & like with all types of crimes there are things you may be able to do in order to make it less likely, but at the end of the day it isn't about what you do, what you wear, or where you go, but it is about what is done to you & we have to make sure we never loose site of the fact that the TOTAL blame lies with the perpetrator.

Of course it SHOULDN'T invite a rape. NOTHING should. But the cold hard facts ard that is has and sometimes it does.

No one ever shamed me for it. No one ever blamed me. I got nothing but support and love.

But the fact still remains that I put myself in a terrible situation where one of the worst things that could happen, did.

I'm not placing blame on anyone but the jerk who did it. But I do regret my own actions that night.

I think we have strayed from the original subject which was the abuse of two women.

The first was a young woman from Delhi who got on to a bus with her fiance, only to both be beaten, then the woman to be gang raped repeatedly and then abused with a metal rod which cause horrific injury's. If it wasn't bad enough she was tossed from the moving bus with her fiance naked then refused medical help at the first hospital..she later died of her injurys. To her rapists her crime was that she needed to be brought down a peg or two because she looked well to do.

The second a 16 year old girl who was a target of the schools 'rape crew' a name they boasted. After months of being taunted by a member of the football team she was invited by friends to a party. She arrived and was handed a drink containing a date rape drug which left her unconcuious, they then took turn to rape her whilst she was unable to defend herself. she was then dragged to different partys by her wrists and ankles to be raped by other members of the foot ball team, who boasted their crimes on twitter and instagram with comment about the nights song should be the 'rape song' and posting pictures of themselve with her. She was left on her parents porch half naked and urinated on. All she did was go to a friends house to drink or not.

Both these girls have been degraded, one who's life is ruined forever by the savage actions of a football team and the second whos life was taken away because she wanted to better herself and provide a better future without poverty for her family.

People in both cases have said the girls brought it on themselves, the first for not just allowing herself to be striped and raped by 6 men, the second was branded a liar by most of the town who went to length (uncovered recently uncovered by the group known as anonymous) revealing a cell phone video of one boy speaking about the 'dead girl' and how she deserved it, he has not been changed even though he admitted rape on the video. Apparently respectable women don't get rape, they get what they deserve which is to be taken down a peg or two, and a teen age girl as a parent was obviously asking for it because she attended a party.

The fact is, it does not matter if you are a respectable young professional, or a teenage girl. IF you are raped you deserve justice!! NO MATTER WHAT, if you are wearing a bra and jeans at a party or wearing a full body suit..no one is asking for it. These things happen in life sadly but if they do you need someone to stand up and get the justice you deserve not be branded a piece of meat who was asking for it.
