There is OBVIOUSLY only so much you can do. Is there no middle ground or do we have to go off the extreme deep end. I obviously need to explain, more.

When I park in a parking lot at night, I park under a light. I never park in an unlit area. I always have my keys ready and when I get in my car, I lock the doors immediately. I live alone and do not answer the door unless it's someone that I know ...or expect. I keep my porch light on all night, so my house isn't drowning in darkness. I have a home security system. I could go on and on about the precautions that I take on a daily basis. It lowers my chances of certain violent crime. This is a PROVEN FACT.

If THAT is being "paranoid", then I am guilty as charged. I didn't realize that common sense=paranoia.

I agree with this statement. I myself was taught to be "a paranoid bastard" as you so nicely put it ha by my crazy father who thought just by walking out the door I would be pounced on by an enraged rapist so for many years I was aware of absolutely every little thing someone done. I would analyse absolutely everyone and because of it I was a good judge of character I guess but regardless of that I would never ever ever think that any female had ever put themselves in a bad spot to be raped. That is making excuses for a rapist IMO.

You are obviously one of those people that can't see anyone's point other than your own, which is about how YOU protect you and not the fact it shouldn't happen or doesn't deserve justice because you didn't do enough to protect Yourself. So there is no real point in speaking with you becaus it's a one sides option and with no room for anyone else's point.

Well either I've not put across what I'm saying clearly enough or you have picked me up wrong so I will try explain better. I do not at all think
the focus should completely shift to protecting ourselves to only teaching not to rape what I'm saying is there is a DRASTICALLY uneven focus on protecting yourself. I feel there should be a far better balance, yes it is important to be taught how to protect yourself but when mostly all the focus is on how not to become the victim and not how you shouldn't perpetrate then that takes the spotlight away from attackers.

I'll show you an example of how in the UK we're trying to be more balanced in our campaigning and trying to teach not to rape and not just how to protect yourself.......
