Then you should try for a vbac. You know c sections are major surgery an after every c section more complications arise.

I bet the pressure of trying to do these things is stressing you out more than the reality will.

Just relax, and do what you can do

Good luck

I've had nothing but C-Sections and I fail to see anything uncomplicated about it. It's major surgery, not a simple little procedure. The risks for complications for mum and baby dwarf the risks associated with a natural delivery. I don't care if you're the messiah himself, it isn't an easy method of delivery for any body, human or non, to endure or recover from.

I agree. Making these decisions can be very stressful.
It won't hurt for her to research other options either, though. It can really, really help with making that final decision whether it's what she ideally wants or it's what is more realisitic for her situation

For me, there was nothing stressful about my natural delivery. It was completely relaxed...I had the freedom to move however I felt my body needed to. I was in the tub, on the birthing ball, walking the halls. It was an empowering experience. I had no tearing whatsoever, baby girl was perfectly healthy and nursing almost immediately, and I was up and walking around very shortly after. The recovery was quick and painless.

And breastfeeding is just an amazing bonding experience...I find that time with baby extremely relaxing. Granted, it's not always easy but it makes me feel good knowing I'm doing the best possible thing for DD.

Meliss, I think giving up on what you want for this baby (vbac, breastfeeding, etc.) is just going to make you 100x more miserable. Talk to your doctor about alternative meds so you can BF, and at least TRY a vbac. You tried for a vaginal birth the first time, it didn't work, and you ended up with an emergency c-section. What's the worse that can happen trying a vbac... the same thing? So worth it to try. With everything you're going through, do ONE THING for yourself, and do this.
