I had cosco with my first. It did the job but seemed super cheap and bulky. I chose graco this time and the quality seems much better. Its base is a little bigger than the cosco but it seems a lot sturdier. Usually the brand name doesnt affect me much except for in the cases of price and quality. <-- usually mostly pertaining to foods, personal hygiene, and clothes because i use coupons so most of the time the brand names are either the same or less.

Well in theory all car seats that are in stores are safe enough to be used and passed certain tests. I however would never buy a cosco seat. Just looking at them you can tell how cheaply made it is and the fact that they're usually $40. I only get brands like graco or safety first for car seats. When.I get my tax return I plan on getting 2 of those diono seats for both boys.

That's what I was thinking. As far as a stroller as long as it works in my opinion. But for the car seat I figured the cosco just to hold us over till tax. We could get both but, it would break us for the rest of January whereas we'd be fine wait a few weeks after she's born. She wont be traveling much. But we plan to go to TN after he first round of shots. And I'd much rather have the graco seat for such a long (FL to TN for an infant) long trip lol. I would be nervous the whole time if I didn't think she had the safest one I could find!

Thanks ladies.

I honestly wouldnt get both you'd be wasting money. Unless your going to be putting one in multiple cars. I would just get the safer one off the bat and not spend the money on one that you only plan on using a few times.

The middle of know where. It's queued with a Charlotte area code, but it's still an hour and a half out of Charlotte. Never been though, it's where SO is from   It'll be my first time visiting the real south (FL so doesn't count as the south it's like a northern western eastern NY with palm trees). I'm from up North originally so I don't know much other than it's literally 80 some acres in the middle of no where TN. I can't wait for that <3

It's more so to at least have a car seat that, is by standards approved for safety. Until I have the money to buy the good one. It'll only be for a little while we'll possibly be able to return the cosco stuff. I'm going to shop around online some more though and see if I can find any good deals. I definitely want my little Lily safe right off the bat. I would wait till tax returns BUT she'll already be here lol   right now moneys good but I'm still trying to set a budget so we can start saving.

ALSO someone mention safety first?! Is that a good brand. It's a tad cheaper than Graco in some area's but I like both the idea of safe, and cute   So as long as Graco and Safety first are good choices I'd like to know if shopping around that area is a good idea?

Yep safety first, graco, britax are all good car seats. Most are pricey though.

I found a set that goes with our flower theme <3 and isn't too bad it's only 179.99 where I was about to pay 116 for something that wasn't the best. I don't mind the extra, and it even has the pack and play to go with it, for like 99 or a little more I can't remember, and that's what we wanted to do for a crib. And it's a grow with you one to boot. I've now become addicted to the graco site  !
