Like laying in bed so they can be dry at some point of the day , im assuming them always being moist would make them heal slower

I soaked in the tub for what felt like 2 straight weeks. Let them dry out only made them tight and painful.

I was told to keep them soaked. I took 8-10 salt water baths a day.

Only thing I was told, was to shower twice a day, and keep the area clean and dry properly afterwards.

I've been told letting my cut get air helps with recovery time, but I never tried it. Do kegels! They help a lot! Do you have any Epsom salts? Taking a bath in those can give you some relief. Also, use witch hazel.

Nope. I never did. I just had 3 sutures though, so they never bothered me.

Well, I had a 3rd degree cut, so I had quite a few stitches but I started to heal by 4 weeks, then I got a little over zealous with the house work and tore my scar tissue back open and had to have more put in. Total of 8 weeks, but would have been 4 had I not tried lifting that stupid hamper

EDIT: How are you surviving only taking one salt bath?! I lived in the tub my stitches hurt so badly. The first week I cried every time I moved.

Im not sure how many stitches i have but they dont hurt unless i try sitting on my butt and at times while walking, but im really careful on how i walk and get up because i fear tearing them, i was in a lot of pain the first 3 days but its getting a lot better , i just want them to heal so my tearing fear will go away
