Just a big, miserable vent.

posted 10th Jan
My fiance gave me his vomiting/diarrhea virus
I'm 33 weeks and 5 days pregnant now, and so I was asking him to stay in bed, remember to wash his hands, wipe down the computer with disinfectant wipes (because he decided to play computer games instead of resting), and don't kiss me or breathe on me etc.. just in hopes that I wouldn't catch it.
I know the virus is in the air, but I was just hoping.
Well he didn't listen to anything I asked of him, and now I'm sick.
Can't even keep down water, and so dehydrated.
I'm starving hungry but can't keep anything down.
Got the aches and pains of the third trimester, plus baby's head is engaged which is killing my pelvis.
Not to mention its Summer here in Australia   which is so hot!
So irritable and I keep fainting.

I don't want to swamp DF with my complaints, so its good to just vent to BG.

You need to go to urgent care. Being dehydrated is not good. It can cause preterm labor. Go in and see if you can get some Zofran (anti nausea) and perhaps they will hook you up to an IV for a bit of fluids. You are at the point where it is important to be monitored.

Next time, don't rush to the ER, urgent care will do you just fine. The ER is for emergencies and they charge you an arm and a leg. Urgent care is open late and on weekends. You can still get all the same treatments but not pay the facility fees or take up a bed from an emergency.

I've had to have an IV and zofran, and be kept in hospital four times before during this pregnancy for my Hyperemeis
I'm honestly so exhausted and I know its stupid and childish, but I don't even want to go to the hospital, I just want to lay in bed and wake up to a better day.

Unfortunately it's time to put your baby first. It'll be the first in a long line. You need to worry more about their well being right now than your comfort. You need to take care of it for not only your good but your child's. You could go into labor and have a NICU baby because of this and even not having been there I can assure you, you'll want to wake up and have that go away a hell of a lot more than this.

Yeah you're right.
The midwives are probably sick of seeing me though.
I was up there the other day for fainting at a bus stop, then there again today for my antinatal appointment.

I gave them a call and they said to just sip an oral dehydration drink and try to rest, but if it doesn't get better in a few hours then call again and come in.
Those drinks are so disgusting lol.
