EC late starters can do it!

To day was the first day I did not have to change a single diaper! All baby business was in the potty for the first time. He is 14 months this week! We are so proud of our little one!

Yes! I started at 11 months and my DD is now going fully on the potty starting at 14 months (she is 15 months in a couple days). If she has an accident its almost always my fault. I love ec! Comgratulations!!

We started at 8 months but then he had a teething thing, he was getting a new tooth every week and that made a lot off pooo, I just could not keep up. So we went back on the diapers. At the same time we also intoduced solids about 9 months. So we did not really get started till about 12 months.

I was showing him the ASL for poop but he never did it. Then last night for the first time I showed him the ASL for toilet and this morning he did it! I could not believe my eyes. I thought maybe i was just wanting to see things, because I had only did the sign the day before a few times. Then as I was standing in shock he ran to his potty pointing at it(its on the other side of the baby gate)

The rest of the day I never put him on just because I thought it was time, I waited till he told me and... I am just so happy. It was like it finely just "clicked" for him!

Did you guys ever have a "it just clicks moment"

That's awesome! Its just so much better starting at this age. They learn sooo fast!! My DD has told me a couple of times when she had to go-yesterday it happened too. But i have it timed so that she doesnt really have to. I really see the benefit of letting them tell you when they have to go...my girl just never did it!!

A month ago is when we had that AH HA! Moment. More for me than her. I just finally figured out her patterns, and she has become much more aware. I we did ec very rarely....just every once in a while since she was born but she has always been able to do it. Even from the day she was born!!

Guess what he held his pee all night! and went in the potty in the morning! I could not believe that he was not only dry all night (10 hours) but that he also was able to hold his pee till we got him on a potty in the morning!

Same with us! We did it kinda now and then from birth but not very much till he was much older. With our next baby I am going to start when the baby is about 3 or 4 months, what ever age it is when they are not pooping every 30 min.!
