You should pay off your debts and put the rest in savings. If there's something you "want"... you save up the money to buy it.

I'd imagine it'd take at least a while for you to start making money from it... so I am sorry but I see his point. When we have left over tax money we split it equally... it seems fair to share the left over money.

TBH, to me it seems fair that if you get a camera the next purchase, when you can afford it, would be his thing.

No your being stupid. Tax money isn't piss away money. Pay off your debt and save the rest so you are not alwYs in the hole.

We usually get around that much or close to almost 10K back. My DH wants a new computer. He basically uses mine anyway, I don't see why we need two computers and a laptop and an ipad in the house. We desperately need a new couch, though.

Wow, you must be getting a smurf ton in taxes....and you sound kinda selfishy but I understand...My husband loves all his ice fishing stuff and crossbow/hunting stuff that he just got last year and now he wants a gun! NOPE, it's my turn lol...but I think you might be countin gyou chickens before the eggs hatch, if you know what I mean. It took us a few years of taxes to do all of those things and get caught up etc.

If all important bills/debts get paid and you all have everything you need, then why not get your camera and he get his fishing pole?

Who cares though? If it were me, my thinking would be that my husband works hard and deserves the stupid smurf he wants if we can afford it. IDK your situation though. Does your husband work? Do you?
